I just really miss it from the old days, back then it was essential, don't build it and get sniped by laser platforms, build it and DON'T get sniped by laser platforms... I miss it being an important building, it made the orbital scene more exciting IMO, like, I had no clue what was in space or what was going to which planet if I did not have this building built and powered, it made it a lot better for orbital focused players like me, since I would have a much easier time NOT getting my orbital fabs kille...

why does it never leave the start area? as soon as u work out where it spawned u just blow the crap out of that spot or destroy that planet and u win too easy. i dont want to know where the AI has hid its commander

im real new to the game, trying to practice in ai skirmish, is there a way I can get all the ai to spawn not on my starting planet? Even setting them to "start offworld" in the lobby menu doesn't seem to fix it. I'm trying to make it so each everyone spawns on their own planet, but in my testing everyone just spawns on the same one...

In my opinion it has been long enough for the 'LOCKED' commanders to no longer need/deserve their exclusivity, especially since the game is basically abandoned by the original devs, add in that the only way for someone to even get some of the commanders would be to win old tournaments or be a kickstarter backer/ have preordered the game. Come on, who would be hurt from just making them purchasable? it's not like I'm asking for them to be made free or anything......
