The last few pet eggs

So, I finished this game in about 7 hours, got all of the achievements in the next couple. However, I still have 2 pet eggs left to find. I have currently played 41+ hours.

I'm assuming based on this that when you pick the last card in a stack, the game rolls if there's anything under it, and if it's an egg and you turn out to own it, it doesn't reroll into another egg, right? Because I've played countless hands and I just cannot seem to get the last two.

Is there anything I can do, or is it literally just playing over and over until the immensely stacked RNG against you becomes merciful?

I love the game, but it does get a bit tiresome when you have nothing else to play for than to just hope that you can 100% it finally.

Edit: Just to "sticky" what RuFleS posted, this is what solved it for me:

"Just so people know, there's a new Beta option marked as "2016_update_test" that adds the option to buy eggs with gold, and adds a code that makes a check that won't let you play too long before an egg drops. Cheers! :)"

I'm at 168 hours and counting and still hunting those last two eggs. The last 2 are painful for sure. And I got thousands of perfect hands in my records.

According to my experience eggs appear at random when you play. Egss constantly appeared to me on the third level of the first world where I use to go harvesting extra cards.
It MIGHT relate to how many resource is on the table - if there is already 2 resource (wood, stone, magic) clear those just to be on the safe side.
Also it MIGHT incrise your chances if you achieve good scores, like unlocking achievements, or get perfects in a row.

I think that's just superstition, to be honest. I doubt there's anything more to it than the game randomly rolling for a resource/egg when you clear a row, and it doesn't prevent eggs you already have from being rolled, which gives you nothing.

Sure is taking a long time. I wish they would improve the randomness a bit. I've started on my 2nd playthrough and at near half-point I still have 10 pets to find, but NONE have come up yet this playthrough.

Yeah, rockhopper. I'm currently on my 4th playthrough of the adventure, and I've had almost 1200 perfect hands. Yet I still can't find those two last pets, and I haven't gotten one since like 34 hours of playtime ago. It helps that the game is so casual, you can just play a few hands every once in a while, but it's a bit frustrating.

Egg find rates will be better in the remastered version (free for everyone who owns FS), but it would be pain to change it in this version (Multimedia Fusion 2 sucks). I'm preparing a small patch for FS and it's really a pain to work with that, hats off to Brian and Andrew that they could make such an amazing game in MMF2.

Wow, that is some great news! I understand that it isn't logical to change it as it is now, I just wanted to check if others were having the same problem and if the mechanics actually were like I suspected, or if I was just having insane bad luck.
I still very much enjoy the game, and I'm looking forward to the remastered version, hadn't heard about that. I'm also very much looking forward to the sequel!

Yeah kudos that it's nice and casual, but the achievement hunter in me (blame pokémon) wants to get all the eggs too! Good to hear that the random-egg-generator will be fixed in a newer version of the game.

I've taken a look at your website it's a shame the über-pre-order items are gone already for part II. $995 (why not a rounded 1000?) that puts you in the game is fun. Anyway I'll be looking forward to the sequel and the remastered edition. Shame a minor simple patch wont fix the problem.

I finished ''Adventure '' twice and collected all eggs , any of the unlucky people tried adventure mode more than one time ? Or i was very lucky ?

You were probably very very lucky, jagd. I'm on my 5th run through Adventure mode and I've played a lot of random quickplays too. I don't know what's the average, if you were very lucky or if I'm just very unlucky. But based on what some other people have said I'd say you got them extremely easily.

Is it possible to get eggs by playing the challenege levels does anyone know? I am a mere novice at this with just 20 hours on the cards and am still 10 eggs short of a set
