Time cubes start spawning at wave 100 and above, there are milestones which give garunteed time cubes (such as 100, 250, etc).

Every miniboss and boss after wave 100 has a chance to spawn time cubes, with the amount you get increasing as you get into higher waves.

After wave 100. Every boss has a 25% chance of having time cubes on them. You will get 10 on the first one, but only 4 on the next one. Not sure about what the other have. It's still gonna be a grind whichever way.

Time Warp option only appears when you buy all Active Abilities after upgrading the Clicker Pistol at least twice.

Time Cubes start appearing on wave 100. A blue Time Cube will appear on the boss, destroy it and collect the mini-time cubes that spawn (look like blue gold). Time Cubes you've collected in your current run will appear beside the green Time Warp button. You then need to Time Warp in order to be able to use those Time Cubes.

This was'nt useful for me - I just wanted some tip for how you should use time cubes. Because of the subject this discussion is on, I would have thought I WOULD find tips for this.

What I did at the start was damage. Then I would start getting spawn + % find increase while increasing the starting wave. At one point I can't really remember was to grind to Spec Ops 1.0. Took a bit but it was definitely worth it because once you get to Spec ops 1.0; you'll be getting 1k time cubes before you reset.

Now I'm doing the 1k per reset run to get over the next spec ops training section. I have 60% chance to spawn time cube, 40% increase, start at 91 wave and a bunch of damage to allow easier idling.

I assume that the distribution is generated at the beginning of each Time Warp? i.e. If I see that a boss doesn't have a time cube, I can't go back and forth until he does, right?

Can't go back to the boss levels at all, even below waves 100 I think

Right, but say you've completed level 134, and you're mid-fight on the 135 boss. You can go back to 134. If I visit 135 again, that probability isn't re-rolled, is it?
Clifford Aug 1, 2015 @ 2:28pm
yeah you can go back to the normal wave you were in before

You can't farm Time Cubes on bosses.

Using your example. If a Time Cube spawns on wave 135, you destroy the Time Cube but not the boss, when the boss repawns the Time Cube is replaced by a regular cube. If you destroy the Time Cube and go to the wave before the boss, then back to the boss, it knows that you've already destroyed the Time Cube and won't spawn it.

@Kenzie

Cool, that was what I was trying to confirm.

WELL IF YOUR MIDFIGHT ON BOSS 135 AND YOU DESTROY THE TIMECUBE, BUT NOT THE BOSS, IT WILL COUNT IN GETTING THE CUBE AND YOU CAN FARM THAT WAY. BUT WHERE'S THE FUN IN THAT.

... caps? plus read from before, you will see that cannot be done. Also not ONLY on wave 135, by the way.

Well that's not what this topic is about, unless you're one of those people who can see "How to get" and think it says "how to use"

Which it's up to you, Some people, actually alot of people usually say "spend your cubes on gold" but I say spend it on damage, namely damage for each individual weapon, since those give +100% per upgrade.

Also you cannot farm Time Cubes on a boss. ONce it is destroyed, it is gone for the whole timeline until you use a Time Warp.

Also if one is ever wondering how to get them to begin with, click on the star-ish icon and it'll explain artifacts but also how to get timecubes.
