Hey dude, 2K support told me that you can only skip cutscenes after you have viewed them once and the game successfully saves after the cutscene. If the All Star game is a new cutscene you haven't seen yet then you will have to get lucky and hope it gets past randomly, poor effort from the Devs I know. I am getting close to the All Star game myself so hope I don't get caught up again in this cutscene crash issue again for the 3rd time.
Best of luck Brah!
Hello,
Thank you for following up with 2K Support. We're grateful for your patience, and are sure you're eager to get back in the game, so let's get started!
After viewing your DxDiag/MSInfo files, I would now ask you to try the following things. Please do them in the order as provided.
First, try running the System File Checker. The System File Checker is a utility in Windows that allows users to scan for corruptions in Windows system files and restore corrupted files.
To run the SFC, just follow these steps:
1) Click on the Start button and in the search field type "CMD".
2) In the list of results you will see "Command Prompt" please right-click and select "Run as Administrator"
3) In the new window please type "sfc /scannow" (note the space between sfc and "/")
You may have to run this up to 3 times to verify/fix all the problems.
You may find more information about the file checker on the Microsoft's support site found here.
After you've run the file checker, please let us know if it was able to find any issues and resolve them all when responding to us.
Now then, please also try running the game in a "Clean Boot" of Windows after running the System File Checker to see if there is any other program interfering with the game.
The instructions on how to do this are here.
The article also explains how to boot back into your normal Windows environment.
Also, please re-verify your game integrity once again while in Clean Boot before launching your game. To do so:
From within the Steam Library page, right-click on your game and select "Properties".
From within the "Local Files" tab select the option to "Verify Integrity of Game Cache".
That's it!
Hi 2K,
I thought you may have forgotten about me... Thanks for the reply.
I have tried running SFC on 2 separate occasions several days ago, no issues were found and it is not too surprising as I have recently installed a new Chipset and MB along with Win 10 Pro 64 new installation (not an upgrade from Win 7 or 8).
I have not tried the Clean Boot procedure yet, so will do.
Just a few more details and update on my issue;
I use one monitor LG TV LED 1920x1080 42inch
I have tried windowed mode and it made no difference to the issue.
I recently received a Nvidia update (no specific update for 2k17 as you know) as well as the most recent patch/update you guys released for PC. I am now able to progress further but I still get rare random crashes during cutscenes although no where near as often as they were, so something in either of those updates has helped.
I am jumping through a lot of hoops here to just get the game to work as it should, I currently play many different much more demanding games on my rig with no issues and seeing as I am not the only one in this boat I really urge you to release a properly tested product next year as recent years releases have been a bit messy to put it mildly.
Thanks,
Jacko
Good Luck Ballers!
