Why did they make 'Orange Juice' so easy to split up? (He left me twice in the same career)

I'm usually primarilly a MyLeague sim/manager (been doing it since SNES days, actually with pen & paper lol). But I actually bought 2k17 just for MyCareer because of the new Orange Juice system.

I played every single practice, game, event- everything there was to do in my rookie season, I did it. Have this fantastic chemistry with Justice. Denver Levins even sticks around the entire season (he actually didn't get cut). Loving the 'Orange Juice' system (even starting to hate the name a little less). We got bumped in the 2nd round but that's not bad for the Nuggets.

Buy a VC package. Upgrade my stats. Prepare for a 2nd season run for a championship with Orange Juice. Offseason cutscene "Hey Pres, I'm leaving, gotta do my own thing, bye"

WTF?

I've no interest in continuing the classic MyCareer without the sidekick, so I simulate 2 seasons until I'm a free agent, and wiggle myself onto the same team as Justice (Warriors). ORANGE JUICE IS BACK BABY! Win the championship. Offseason Justice leaves again.

I figure maybe my save file was screwed up, so I started a new one. Simulated through the first season (as a test) and the same thing happened again.

F^ck this game. Why did they make this big new selling point feature and then allow this stuff to happen? I realize it's 'realistic', but this is a video game, and that's my sidekick, not an NBA player.

I was mad when they tried trading justice man. He is the only one to pass me the ball lol

Its because of the way you answer some of the stuff in the cutscenes. You have to defend him everytime/praise justice. Then at the end of the season he'll go with you to whatever team you sign 2.

Its pretty easy to get rid of him, only with me it happend we got separated after 3rd season... i traded to Suns(Young played there) and after i traded, the orange juice didn't work anymore...
