R2 Button Pauses Game?

I use a PS4 controller and i heard that to dunk i have to use R2, my game is paused whenever i press R2 pls help?

To dunk you need to sprint towards the basket and press the shot button or use the right stick. No need to change your settings. I don't know where you got that R2 stuff from, but it's wrong, unless your settings are all screwed up.
