Always go for business meetings and ad shoots first and foremost. They give VC. All other events count towards progression in each endorsement, one way or another.
Hanging out with players give clothes, jumpshots, fans and in some cases something unique like new court( MJ or Terry Henry) or Coach K giving you the Jump Shot Creator.

Pick any endorsements that gives Billboards, magazine covers etc etc as they include Ad Shoots which means large amounts of VC.
You usually get 2 endorsements and have to decide for one (like either Gatorade or Mountain Dew) just look at the bonus payments and see for yourself what suits you more (like bonus money for double doubles or buzzer beaters and that) and always ask for more money first, if you're not too bad they usually raise it quickly.
With the shoe companies you sometimes can get an offer from a different company. Like, i was with Nike and suddenly Adidas made me an offer with a ton more VC but you can only switch once from what i understand.
This. Those Billboards and stuff can give you easily 6000 VC or even more.
Also if you have to chose between a meet up with a player/legend and team practice or just that bistro, catering thing, always chose the players, they might not give you VC but they give you a ton of fans which in turns helps getting better endorsement deals (and ignore the coach yelling at you for skipping team practice, as long as you play great, you will play good minutes, after a while he gives up anyway)
so i can ignore practice, i can ignore bistro's and catering things,
but i shouldn't skip major brands + players hangout.
And that is my next Q, what if i arrange meeting with some player and than i skip it,
i saw that Blake Griffin was pissed off when i didnt't show up.
Also i skipped one Kia meeting ( i was like 3/6 meeting) , and i think that progress was reset, but i am not sure about that.
And one more question, as i finished some event with DMC, i should get some MyTeam card of him, bit there was message that it was unable to get that card, how to solve that and get that card, i suppose it is a free agent card.
Players keep bugging you till you show up. Nothing bad comes from ignoring them, if you want to do that.
Some "events" don't count as an event, so you don't see it progress further.
No idea about MyTeam stuff since I don't play that crap.
They aren't skipped, the next time you get an event with them it continues from the last time. The game gives you a lot of freedom in that regard, you're not shackled down to attend all events, you can do something else, the worst are legends sending you messages asking where you were but they will come around and bug you again for a metting (same if you decline)
Yeah that is something nobody has figured out so far. Some people claimed they got the respective cards but most people never got them, it also says "Myteam 2K18".
Personally, my main career (in my 7th season now) is completely bugged, i never got any MyTeam Cards (i do play MyTeam offline) and it stopped showing the signed Jersey's on the Court (stopped after the 9th, i unlocked 15 or so) as well as awards.
On my second career (3 seasons, altough i sim a lot of games there) so far i never even got the MyTeam rewards at all and i'm already up to the second apartment, had countless events with players....
After a while also those meetings do nothing, again, might be because my first career is a bit bugged but i constantly still get events with Tony Parker, Magic Johnson and they don't do anything, my agent writes about them, then suddenly stops, nothing in social media and the picture that pops up detailing the outcome of the meeting shows nothing.
Career is definitely bugged.
