shotcreators from midrange are money, but so is any archetype above a 75 rated shot unless tightly guarded.
cause i can green moving 3s on rookie difficulty, and as such, in the park all day - i'm talking about superstar and higher difficulty or pro am. i guarantee you that you'll go sub 40% if you make moving 3s your go-to move in those, even on good, open looks as a shotcreator no less. the exception being that you limit yourself to corner 3s - in which case you'd be just as accurate with a 70 rated stand still 3.
btw, jumpshots and forms are completely overrated. once you have one that a.) is clean in its form, as in not too slow and b.) is a shot you can green with absolute consistency when open, you are good. i keep seeing people switching their Js based on hype and someone saying jumpshot X is always green - no such thing. Open looks are usually green with the appropriate stats, sometimes 2k kicks in and gives you a full white instead. Contested shots turn green, sometimes, more often than not even a trailing defender, or one stood next to you without his hands up, will make it impossible to get a green and have you brick a shot - unless you're taking a J near the paint on the left or right wing.
pullup jumpers are a slightly different story, because depending on the angle of your shot the ideal time for release may switch more or less depending on the dribble pullup J you picked. that's obviously something that should be avoided, you want consistency. that said, i've found a pullup jumper with which I always get full bars, just not nearly as many greens on my shotcreator as I did before 2k messed with the off the dribble sliders.
on my shot creator I just stopped taking moving threes that are not in either corner (or threes I have to take without the game point badge), as like some of you said they feel random and I rarely, if ever (94 rating, +5 boosts, limitless range bronze, pick n roll maestro bronze) get a green on them. and since I dont wanna throw up whites all game long I rather stick to midrange and corner jumpers.
in general im pretty sure that im shooting a better % on halfcourt shots than moving threes thst are not in the corner lol
Any shot release works if you ingrain it. That's the real truth behind good shooting in these games. Once you get Jump Shot Creator you can add a clean Base if it doesn't already have one. I can't advise you on what release and pull-up to choose as it's individual preference. Pick one you like, practice A LOT and you're good. Oh, and try to to avoid bad shot selection and contested shots if you can.
Steph Curry shoots around 44% from the arc when being guarded. Steph Curry probably shoots around 90% in practice when wide open.
Now you decide what's more comparable when we're talking about this computer game. Is he talking about inconsistent contested shots, inconsistent wide open shots or something in between? :P
