MyCareer: Getting better players on your team?

Ok guys looking for some legit help or tips, if there are any. Ive been a fan of the franchise since 2k15. The big addition of having an actual story in a sports game won me over. Now in the past, at certain points the GM would sit you down and ask for your picks for trades and sometimes good players would sign with your team during free agency if you were good. So when it comes to 2k17, im 99.9999% sure that the feature has been taken out. So the big question is, when it comes to your performance on the court, does it have any effect at all with free agency? if you own everyone on the court, break records, and win rings, does any of that make other players join your team or even slightly increase your chances of having other amazing players signing with your team? appreciate any help at all guys. thank you so much!!!

It does not influence anything sadly. For instance I was with the Nuggets, we won the championship after a year. The next season there was really no move for that team. On the other end, I saw Curry moving to the Hawks.

That's a damn shame. you'd think they would bring back the feature to ask for certain players you wanted
