I feel like I have been in NXT forever.

Do I need to be rivals with the NXT champion (Finn Balor) in order to get a title match against him? It's just, I keep getting matches at the PPV's against my rivals and never any mention of the NXT title even though I have been ranked #1 for what feels like forever. Help?

someone shared this video with me... here's how I got out of NXT to the main roster

Try doing a run in and attack the Champion. After that you should be in a rivalry with them and wrestle them at the next PPV for that title.

No, you don't need to be rival with him. However you must 1. be the #1 contender 2. this title match only can happen at nxt arrival and 3. you can't be in a feud with someone else (so, feud with the champ or no feud at all)

Win the NXT title with whatever means necessary, then change your rankings to another title of the main shows. Voilá welcome to the main roster.

The weird thing is that I did this two times already, also fought the champion Finn Balor at the PPV / Next Arrival event, but I did not win the title. Is there maybe another requirement? Such as having X attributes or something?

The previous comments are absolutely spot on. Become rivals with the champ and you will eventually get a title match at a PPV. I also was in a rivalry with Finn Balor and the 1st PPV was just a normal match, the rivalry continued and the 2nd PPV was for the title and I won so immediately gave it up and moved to the main roster.

you only need to be in the top 3 contenders, i got my rivalry w/ forget his name the big heel in nxt the guy with the powerbomb, who beat finn for the title, wheni hit rank 3 at the end of a PPV i got the rivalry with the champ started, i did get to rank 1 over the next month just in time for the ppv title match.

i just moved up to tag team for every title you go up it takes more and more wins to rank up
