A rewrite of the keyboard control manual.
Custom Music
Just keep adding to universe mode like they are doing, all good on that score, just keep expanding the roster like they are, big roster this year, really good to see.
Tweaks to the standard experience, we can tweak it ourselves a lot (which is really great) but doubtless they can always improve it.
Improved crowd graphics - badly needs it.
Further tweaks to create a superstar, so heads, mouths, and features can be thinner for example.
I guess that's all I have, I am satisfied really with a great product, these are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ for me, but you asked :D. Well apart from the not knowing how to drag opponents when they are on the ground, as the keyboard manual doesn't make sense, which is a bit gamebreaking but I am sure i'll work it out eventually.
In fact they have set the bar quite high on things like the roster size, I hope they can keep it that high :)
I think its one of the worse but better than 2015.
Even some of my old NES wrestling games are far better than this! "almost even in realism"
The problem with this game (not just the port) is that it has almost no features and that its a soulless shell..
Are the gameplay good? no are it bad ? no.. its fairly avg in most part.. but there is simple to few features and gameplay is tidious (sure its not botton smashing, but its still very simplestic and not fun)
Most of the games are the exact same without any life... it feels dead.. Old games like SvR 2004 feel alive and you are engaged.. that I can't say for this.
What would you add?
I have to say, it's not No Mercy, but it's the best pro wrestling game to come alone since. With the creation suite and Logo importer, I'm enjoying the Monday Night Wars with realistic, sensical contests.
Now excuse me, I have to get back to watching Lex Luger and Roddy Piper take on The Outsiders... LIVE, on MONDAY NITRROOOOOOOO!
Better gameplay (no more tidious controls and slow pace. I don't want it arcady but just abit more pace)
I would rework the entire system.
atm its trying to be hard but its infact pretty dumbed down and with all the bugs it sometimes does not respond
Diversity - I would actually make sure that playing a wrestler did not feel alike and thus having more diverse tactics and gameplay.
More gimmicks - This is a long list and involves all from more interactive rivary, statements, exploring etc (in my career mode)
Better mycareer mode - This is one of the things that need the biggest upgrade my changed include - more matches each week "where you can make friends/rivals out of the matches as well" " Matches have a meaning and its not just a generic boring match like it is now" " includes alot more gamemodes" "winning is not always whats needed, but rather performaance" "alot more events and able to hold more and different titles without it being fight x person, fight x person then x person then title without any event" "the evens should be random ofc and not scrpted in a stationary way like old SvR games but even that would be a huge advancemenst to the series atm"
"Mini games, more options for stuff before matches, dirty tricks interviews etc etc etc"
I could write for an hour more here. but I am certain you get my point.
GFX I don't mind at all its fine (might even be to much work put into it)
I do love me some old school AKI N64 wrestling games but this game is by far the best wrestling game to come out in years. WWE 2K15 as bad as it was set the foundation and this game has built on it, I expect 2k17 to be amazing.
This is of course if you prefer the simulation direction the game has gone in.
You can change all that it the wrestler settings, it's time consuming but on PS4 I've played around with a number of things to get the game just right.
In any case, best wrestling game ever? Probably Fire Pro Wrestling Returns on the Playstation 2. This followed by the 3 big wrestling games on the N64, being WCW/NWO Revenge, Wrestlemania 2000, and No Mercy. Also a special shout out to WWF Here Comes the Pain on the PS2. Those are my personal 5 favorite wrestling games of all time.
I think it is possible to like the NWO era wrestlers better. But I just don't see how any of those games even come close to matching this one. Not even the mighty WWE smackdown Shut your Mouth on PS2 which I thought was better than Here Comes the Pain. Now i don't know about those japanese wrestling games.
I'm happy with the simulation route that 2k is taking. Arcadey games are good, but personally feel that it is not right for wrestling games.
