No Hogan, No Thanks.
too bad because this game is leaps and bounds better than wwe2k15. this is almost a great wrestling game. it is currently the best wrestling game on steam. the game has some very good features like the wrestlrs acually acting like they do on camera. plus with create a wrestler you can pretty much build Hogan if you are good at create a wrestlers.
I plan on redoing santino and ryback as I hate them so much that I think they don't deserve to be in the same game as THE NATURE BOY!
Were you even around for wrestling in its prime. Hollywood hogan was the ♥♥♥♥. He played a very large role in the monday night wars. Wrestling was never better than it was at the time and hasn't been better since. Yeah, I know that he also played a large role in wcw's decline due to his ego but in the time that it was good it was great. It also pushed the wwf to stop using jobbers on tv and actually put on a good show. Also push some talent that they wouldn't have in the past.
This is coming from more of a wwf fan at the time.
Hogan turning heel is an iconic moment in pro wrestling. I saw it live and it was one of the most memerable moments in pro wrestling for me.
Yes, I was around when "wrestling was in it's prime".
I'm older than you dude.
I was 11 years old when the first Wrestlemania aired.
Hogan isn't the reason why wrestling became super popular.
You can thank Stone Cold Steve Austin and the "Attitude" era for sending wrestling into super orbit.
Before that, most people I know didn't watch wrestling or laughed at people that did.
Hogan was popular with kids. He was never popular with adults at the time, they were all Ric Flair fans or Ricky Steamboat fans.
Hogan is the most over-rated, hero worshipped, pathetic wrestler I've ever set eyes on. Why is he so great? Because the vast majority of his fans watched him in his prime when they were kids. The guy couldn't wrestle his way out of a brown paper bag.
My comments about Hogan are simple due to the way he was used in the USA he became a 10 move wonder, Terry Bollea has never been good at selling other wrestlers moves, and Hogans persona and mic skills made him a superstar rather than his in ring skills.
However in his time in Japan this was less of a problem as wrestling in Japan is far more contact and far less acting. Also Hogan was far more versatile with his repetiore of moves in Japan but still lacked the overall ability to be the superstar his fame from the USA was always a major part in his career in Japan.
Having said that he was used by the WWF and other companies as a way of promoting wrestling to the general public, his name and face did play a huge part in the spread of wrestling fandom and the acceptance of wrestling into more general viewing.
The way I look at it 2 types of wrestler exist a good technical wrestler and a personality wrestler.
personality wrestler. are great at the mic skills great at promos get huge fan recognition but are fairly average in the ring and I am afraid this is where I put Hogan.

(Its just a show)
(You apparently didnt know this after several decades of supposedly being a fan)
its not Walt Disney its not the Matrix.
Having a 280lb man in a ring with another person yes they are both in control but when they hit the floor in a drop it hurts when they do moves on each other they may be less painfull than they look and selling the move is a big part of making it look more painfull. But they are athletes and yes they do get hurt.
I could not agree more. Spot on dude.
Who the hell are you kidding?
Give that one up man, he's a ridiculous racist and everyone has known that for more than a decade.
You sound like the local big name wrestler who goes around at 40 doing shows in small towns of ~300 people at the community center, in what would normally be a hockey rink.
He liked to show off his wrists, where they had big bubbles on the inside from years of punishment.
Yes, its physical. Yes, you can get injured.
No, its not about skill when it comes down to who is successful... and the best man doesnt necessarily win. Its closer to a full body contact broadway performance than an actual sport. Something like Tom Cruise doing his own stunts comes to mind. How impressive, Tom, that skill is definitely deserving of mass public respect and renown.

The guy who got slammed through the top is the real winner, and not the one doing it to him.. for example.
You suggested Steve Austin was the best IIRC
Steve Austin broke his neck when the move didnt go right. That wasnt supposed to happen. I could easily argue hes a bad wrestler.
Or maybe youd like to say Owen Hart was bad now too.
You might as well say the Ultimate Warrior is overrated, and shouldnt be included in these games. Maybe wrestling isnt for you, maybe you just need a real soap opera.
Anyways, you cant be overrated if its not an actual sport. Ratings are all that matter, and Hulk brought them in.
He was literally the only reason I bought 2k15, and about 80% of my playtime was with him.
They could have made audible taunts during matches an improvement for 2k16 and that would have been fine, but instead, they removed him.
No Hogan, No Thanks.
"Pre-Order 2k17 - play as (((Goldberg)))!"
Lol... This is what happens when you defend terrible decisions, and use a terrible wrestler nobody cared about, who had a tiny undefeated stretch as his entire claim to fame (in a show where the outcome is pre-determined) in your argument, saying "Its okay if Hulk isnt included, Its not like he was Goldberg!"
Now you actually have Goldberg as your big attraction LOL have fun goy.

Pay attention to what Mr Stallone has to say. Hulk is the greatest.
I have a serious question . Are you a 10 year old trying to sound older?
The big difference between Tom Cruise and any rteal wrestler is if Tom didnt like the way it went he shouts cut and redoes the scene, A real wrestler cant redo anything by saying cut and just makes it work.
At no time ever did I say Steve Auatin was the greatest.
As for Ultimate Warrior he was a strange case his persona was so warped in the ring and in promos, the fact he was a lousy technical wrestler didnt kill his career, he is a perfect example of PR making a wrestler great rather than skill.
Talking about Owen Hart he proved his technical skilsl during his run as "King of Harts" he was a good solid technical wrestler. He got caught in a long contract with a company that punished him for the things Bret said and did, Owen wan turned into a jobber as punishment for Brets actions and interviews about the McMahon family buisness.
As for accidents why didn't you drag Droz into the situation he is in a wheelchair for the rest of his life due to a move going wrong.
The fact is you will spout rubbish in a reply to this you are a Terry Bollea fanboy that probably doesn't even know where the "Hulk Hogan " gimmick came from or who gave the name to him,
More like Steve Autism.
My account is more than 10 years old.
OOOOOOHHHHH SICK BURN YOU TOLD HIM BTTFFFOOO
No es Hogan, No es gracias muchacho.
