PC - How do I delete corrupted superstars from the hard drive.

Hey all, is there any way of deleting certain superstars which I can't do through the game menu as they are not visible, unless I am trying to download more wrestlers or save anything.

Anything I save is corrupt now, so I need a way of manually removing the corrupt wrestlers, thanks for any help.

I will start again if I have to but I need a reliable way of doing that too, cheers :D

you may have to start again. The same thing happened to me its do with the steam cloud corrupting your file. There is a fix in a post couple of pages back from the 13th march. I tried it and it didnt work for me.

I have had to start again but this time i have disabled steam cloud for 2K16

To delete downloaded Caws you have to go in to the creation suite, the go to superstars, then edit custom superstars/divas and delete the ones you want to get rid of.

I tried that and half the superstars didnt show up so i couldnt delete them and the ones i did delete still didnt fix the problem

You can't do this for the corrupted ones in the game as they don't show up in the menu, the only way you can see them is if you try to download another superstar, you'll see their names but no pictures because they are bugged, as is anything downloaded or created after them. If you try to download over the top of them it doesn't seem to work either, just says its another corrupted download. I've even tried copying superstars into the slots where they supposedly are but you simply can't even though no name is shown (outside of the online section)

I think its because the textures are modded on certain CAW's some are really, really high res (large) making the caws look incredible but bugging out the base game. Its either that or the cloud save nonesense, if its the cloud I apologize CAW creators :)

Search for iron man or better yet marvel and you'll see two iron men, one is a costume one is a high res texture for an example, that was my first corrupt one but it could have been the wrestler before him that caused it, if indeed its textures that are doing it. The one before him was mad max mel gibson, and was using a texture for the face (I think). Captain america is also a really high res texture caw. - For hecks sake though don't bug your game out by testing this theoy.

Haven't seen one yet.

How do I start again (I can also state that verifying the game cache doesn't fix it), though something i've done in all this messing around has managed to delete one of the buggy ones, just got about 6 corrupt ones to go!

I wouldn't know I just deleted everything and started from 0 since the cloud was the reason for the game constantly crashing on me, I even deleted the WWE folder on my appdata temp in my userdocuments folder.

But then when the caws problem persisted, even if I could start matches they where just default caws instead the ones I downloaded, also happened to one arena I downloaded, next time I started the game, the arena was totally black with no crowd.
Kinda Hilarious for me, but that was it.

I think once the caws bug shows those are lost for good unless you try to overwrite them by downloading them again in the same spot from the CC but then after two or three more downloads the same happens.

I have found a fix for this. I have disabled the Steam Cloud and copy in every Slot a standard caw. At the Arenas the same. At the download of a caw, simply overwrite the existing caw.
It works for me. sry for my bad english ;)

This deletes them but doesn't allow you to save anything still, the downloads come up corrupt and caws won't save still. Half way to a solution, thanks :)

I have copy in all 100 Slots one standard caw. Have you do this also?

it is a steam cloud issue, disable steam cloud for 2K16

That only fixes the crashes, but caw deletion and bugged "default" caws will keep happening though. At least that was my case.

Yeah, I've never had cloud enabled to begin with, nor have I ever downloaded modded caws(or anyone else's caws period), and I've still been hit with this problem. Not sure how to circumvent it, at this point.

edit: in the process of porting caws from one comp to another, then re-porting back to a new save on my main comp. Seems to be working so far, though still unsure as to how it triggered.

I cannot copy them into the slots, only try to, which deletes the bugged ones, it doesn't save over them because the slots cannot be used still.

Disabling the steam cloud doesn't solve the problem sadly. It might stop it starting to begin with, but with the last posters comment I am uncertain of that.
