My best guess would be, just keep giving Face answers, don't get DQ'ed or do heel moves in the ring and sooner or later you'll go back to being a Face. Although being the bad guy is way more fun for me XD
The part about never giving Heel answers is especially important if the "for fun" Heel answers you would give match your main personality trait as Heel. You may be able to loosen up a bit on that after your turn Face, but you risk turning Heel again. You basically want to make sure that all of your answers move your personality traits to Face types, if they already are you need to adjust your in ring behaviour.
Also, my current primary trait is Bold, so I go for Aggressive answers now and then, since there are some Faces who have Aggressive as a trait. Everything else is solid blue.
Two more questions, though. Sorry, I just wanna make sure I can do this the way I'd like.
1- does changing someone's status as a Heel or a Face in the Universe/My WWE mode affect them in My Career? Apart from cheering, that is?
2- Is there anything about making your opponents bleed that turns you one way or the other? Because I *love* using the Straightjacket DDT as my primary finisher. I've switched to the Phoenix Splash since I thought acrobatics would help with Face turns, but I'd be quite happy to go back to using my "Last Laugh" DDT and "King's Cross" Sharpshooter.
I just yesterday turned face after being heel for 100 hours. I can confirm WingedKagouti's method works. It took me over a year in game of consistent adherence to the rules stated above before I turned face. I turned during my run as tag champions with the Rock who was face.
Anecdote:
Your wrestling moves beyond being dirty also seem to have some effect. builds focues entirely on the head (my guys initial build) seem to be considered heel. I had everything, except agressive, blue for 3 years, answered only respectful or bold answers in interviews, yet didnt turn face until I cleaned up my style.
I switched to a body/leg/arm moveset apart from a strike or two and a neckbreaker. I added a mix of high fying and pin combo moves as well.
I let myself get worked by the heel for portions of the match relying on near falls and reversals to quick bursts of offense to stay in the fight. I never tossed anyone out of the ring and only fought outside to create space to return to the ring asap. I lost more often on the pinfall and submission games as a result of the moveset change as well.
I am not certain, but strongly suspect that these were the last change I needed to make.
In the weeks prior to my unexpected and quiet face turn the commentary didnt talk about how vicious my moves were or how they could end careers.
UPDATE:
Certain OMG! Moments seem to also affect heel/face status. The apron dropkick OMG! moment turned me heel in a tag match against Big E and Kofi Kingston. I answered the post match with respectful response. Fought a subsequent match against Seth Rollins sticking to my usual face style and had an interview post match that flipped me face again.
Well that makes sense, no face would ever use weapons in hardcore matches
I like the face/heel mechanic, but damn, why does it have it have to be so hard to turn face again.
Wish I could simply use the cheap Mick Foley "Right here, in *insert city name*" pop.
@Veggieleezy: Using that Straight Jacket DDT aswell, such an awesome move.
I have a career guy who I was making that was so face it said I turned face 3 times and was NEVER heel. I quit playing due to having to go run errands. A few hours later, I started the game back up and it was heel without ever doing anything.
I don't have any red bars in my attributes and did absolutley nothing but quit the game and start again a few hours later.

So you all can say don't use dirty moves, give face answers, ect, ect, but it won't matter. You will start up one day and you will automatically be heel.
