I haven't tried the career mode yet, but I found that the Austin 3:16 and Hall of Fame scenarios do a pretty good job of showing you how the game works and teaching you a few moves. Have you tried those game modes yet?

The mini games are quite tough, and the whole reversal button timing is a headache. I found that playing the Showcase Austin 3:16 scenarios gave me a better understanding of how it works. Still quite frustrating at times, but it beats having your career stalled. Defintely take the above advise and practice using those scenarios. Plus they are quite fun!

I'm definitely finding it tough too. The reversals don't seem to match up 100%, even when I change to Easy.

I'm on a career match where Tyler Breeze ambushes me at the start (reducing my health) and I've just had to ragequit since I can pulverise the AI only for it to do a submission move and win the match. >_<

The only thing that makes the game hard is the fact that 2k16 chose to use "reversal slots". I hate that some superstars like Big Show only have 3 reversal slots while others have a full set of them. It's pretty much just free hits if you're trying to use someone who has less than 4 reversal slots. They should've implemented that feature for online only and leave the infinite reversals for offline play.

The reversal limit can be disabled in the options menu. I don't think that works online but it should help you out in offline matches.

They botched the balancing in Career mode real bad. They made it so you have to grind your skill points over a very long period, there is no denying this balancing choice was made to encourage people to buy the cheat pack on console. I dont think its even avaliable on PC or even included but they don't seem to have addressed the balancing. I played career for damn near 10 hours on Console and I wasn't even remotely close to having an overall score close to theh main roster, I was like 74/100 and getting any levels beyond that point was such a grind that I chose to give up.

It's really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ money pinching which has been transfered over to the pc version without even the option to buy the pack that'll let you level your CAW any way you damn well please. Knock the difficulty down and try to grind up to around 70 where it'll become far easier and knock the difficulty back up. Or practice in showcase/universe mode

Everything is included in the PC version. If you visit your character screen during career mode, you'll find an options menu where you can unlock all this stuff. You can also disable it again at any point, so you could boost your stats to make your start a bit easier and then disable it and progress normally from there.
