UNSTABLE BRANCH - I need some brave gamers
...to regularly test the (not so) unstable branch.

The unstable branch (only for windows users), allows you to test the next patch and to give feedback here. When the patch seems to be stable enough, it passes in main branch.


Backup your save

Before any tests, backup (create a copy of) your saves:

You should do that because the version of the unstable branch is not the same of the stable branch, if you return to an older version of the game, it will be unable to load your saves.


How to test the unstable branch

In your steam library, right-click on planet centauri, go to betas and add this code to unlock the branch: 1234567654321

Then choose the right branch.
At this point the game is now Planet Centauri [unstable].

/!\ Be careful, BACKUP your SAVE folder before /!\


How to return to the stable branch

When the tests are done, you can return to the stable branch with the same procedure.
But you should restore your save backup (or wait the official release of the patch of the same version).

Game tutorial and fixes

Changelog 0.13.5 Adds - A complete game tutorial with videos (F1), totally customisable/moddable - New chicken feeder with possibility to use soulgems inside - Hapiness, food and energy bar added to tamed chickens/cows - NPC's stations interface has been completely redone Changes - Improved performances of the windows build by 60% (moved from 32 bits to 64 bits) - Smith: chances to get a Red item increased from 0.38% to 1.57% - Sacrifice souls are visible if the player don't have any buff/debuff icon - Dead chickens/cows associated to a feeder will not be lost Fix: - NPC pathfinding - NPC are not sync on multiplayer - Smith: rarity factor increased from 1.5 to 1.9 - Guns and scepters are invisible - Chicken and cow are associated to mangers multiple times - Belts don't update correctly the cogs connections - Runes malus is not visible on armors - Some UI crashes - Refactor of entities game code to remove some random crashes Notes: - In multiplayer, the tutorial will automatically close if you take damages - The windows version is now in 64bits and is compiled with the Cygwin toolchain (required for the theora dependancies) - 32 bits builds will not be included until the final release of the game - Added a global game event manager, used atm only to unlock tutorial entries - Many parts of the engine have been refactored to cleanup/fix bugs/add new features

A new character in the new world is created without problems. Created a new world can be visited by any character. If you create a new world of the old character, then error:
An exception has occurred: 'std::bad_alloc'
std::bad_alloc

Yep; 3 of 3. The error only if you create a new world from the old character. All other variants not cause problems. 4 world has created! And 5.

Error always after a new character, I go to the old world, and then create a new world and old character. More precisely, the creation of a new world immediately after the visit of the old causes an error.

onilink_, visit any character in the old world, and then try to create a new world with the same character. But if you start the game, and the old world didn't attend, and immediately create a new world - all ok.

How's this version different? Are there more specific features you would like us to test?

It has run pretty smoothly for me so far

Only 2 very minor bugs i think:

1.
Any item that could be interacted (chest/workbench) if placed within 8 blocks from the edge of the map, could not be interacted. The menu opens but quickly closes right after.

2.
Cactus door is "undefined" and could be placed directly on the ground (without top block)

For the moment it's only the world generation which interests me :)

I'm getting a bad_alloc after visiting an old world then making a new one. But making a new one immediately works fine.

Yeah, the world generation works fine for me, except the bug mentioned above. I've yet to see another problem with the 20+ worlds I've made
