Can't Attack When Transformed Into A Slime

When I transform into a slime I can't seem to attack. I'm not sure which button should I press because the usual left click with the mouse doesn't do anythig. I can only switch the direction of where to go and then jump either to the left or to the right. That's all that I am able to do when I'm a slime. Please help! I can't complete the damn tutorial without it :(.

Ah, I think if i remember correctly and the game hasn't changed the past two years, that you have to collide with your enemy when jumping left or right.

Thank you very much for your suggestion! :) I just tried it and I think it kind of works, but barely. There is no attack animation ( in all youtube let's plays that I have watched there was an attack animation. Plus they didn't have to colide with enemies in order to attack them) and I can only do so much before the enemy either moves out of the way so i can't damage it anymore, or it kills me. Anyway, I hope that this is just a temproary bug and will be fixed by the developers soon.

Thank you for replying! I don't remember ever touching controls settings, but I checked it and it was saying left action right and right action left. I switched it to left action left and right action right. Now it works and the animation is there. Thank you so much for your help! Now I'm a happy slime! lol
