Help with beating the Master

I can get to the Masters room no problem, but once I actually fight him I lose. My first full attempt at beating him i came in there with level 4 Dragon Armor (Level 2 haste, level 3 shadow resist, level 2 elemental resist), Gold Bow, 106% cutting power Shark Sword with level 3 cutting rune, Pheonix with level 2 toxic rune, around 1000 dark arrows and a little over 2000 gold arrows. I came without health/stamina regen potions or damage potions and ran out of dark arrows around halfway through the fight but got him into red health then died shortly after I ran out of healing items (I brought around 40 healing powder and food I got from grinding off of Yetis and Eagles).

The second time I went hard at him i came with level 5 dragon armor and came prepared with level 3 health and stamina regen potions and level 2 damage potions but only had around 230 dark arrows and 5000 gold arrows so I ran out of dark arrows rather quickly. I also had the same healing items from before but only around 15 healing powder. Although i came more prepared I didnt even get him to half his health before dying.

Both times i had the middle platform completely filled in with wood platforms and the missing sides on the top and bottom ones also filled in. The second time around the fight went by much quicker too.

I have a pretty good grasp at his attacking patterns. Is there something im doing wrong? Am I just really unprepared?

he is very easy if u remember his attacks. He do always same chain attacks. And in my own experience, best way to get rid him -> sword with 120%+ cutting damage bonus + cutting damage rune lvl 4+ and legendary attack potion (u can grind them in the Hell biom from chests)
Also to reduce his damage, u can put elemental defence rune in ur armor, also if i remember right, his best laser attack is light elemental. Put some in helm.

I can easy kill him in the 4-5sec, if i will not miss a Dive skill at start XD
