Enhancement Crystals

How do you use enhancement crystals. I have a ton of them. I have googled them and Planet Centauri and it is bizzarre to me that I can't find anything on them.

You mean those that you get for just mining randomly? Those are used in leveling up weapons before ascending them. They are mostly used just to skip grinding EXP on a weapon.
As for lack of online print for this game- It's just because community is small and almost no one writes any guides for it :D

I don't even know how to grind xp on a weapon. I saw a video showing someone use it but when I try to upgrade a weapon it requires other items.

well, you must have watched old video then. Weapon upgrade system was pretty recent introduction. You get EXP on weapon by killing enemies with that weapon. Or just use those crystals. When it ask for other materials like metal ingots and such, it means it needs to "ascend" to unlock another 10 levels. It's pretty straightforward really
