crafting the alchemy table

I'm new to the game and I was doing the quests for the green crystal. I got to the alchemy table crafting quest and got stuck. Before crafting the 5 steel bars needed to make it, I spent some time looking around and gathering stuff trying to make the 2nd ingredient slot "light up". But it never did. I finally watched a youtube video of a guy doing that quest, and it made me realize that there is no 2nd ingredient, only steel. I think the 2nd ingredient was those spirit point things, but why weren't they lit up? I have tons of them.

Now that I know to ignore that 2nd ingredient for the alchemy table, I'm fine now, but I figured I'd still post about it.

The items that looks like the alchemy table you are trying to make is for the NPCs and it's not the alchemy table :)
