It also helps if you don't allow them to die -- that way, you can bring them out again if even they don't have full HP.
And not always possible to capture monsters from the first time.
Thanks for that info! I attempted a capture about 20 times at about 20 health to avail. This will likely be that spark to grind another legendary butcher this evening.
Here's the thing with mimic pets I've learned: don't let them die.. once they get health regen it's much faster to spawn them and let them heal up with life regen trait then let them die which takes much longer. Of course, even at level 4, the only threat to them I've seen so far is legendary class enemies.
I do also have a legendary butcher, but he's low level still and mimic kinda stole the show. Mimic pet is just a killing machine. :) He does like 200 damage per hit but he also has bonuses that let's him take out anything in 1-2 hits.
So much for necros.. throw lvl 6 mimic into the room and its all over in a few seconds. I haven't fought the dragon boss yet.. any suggestion on how I could use lvl 6 mimic on it? Also.. I'm not sure how to enter the portal. I stood at it but nothing happened.
