Upgrading stuff

How do I upgrade my armor? It says I need in order to use higher lvl runes. Also, how do I use my phoenix sword to summon the phoneix?

Press U, drag item into slot one, it'll cost souls and the corresponding metal (currently only armour and crafted melee weapons can be upgraded). You summon the phoenix by putting the phenix (typo there devs) blade in the slot in the top right of you character panel.

The only thing u need to know what you can't upgrade is the phenoix sword and other weapons that are sepcial, anyway lvling up the phenoix sword basically u lvl it up by summoning it, but yea you can place runes if it has slot and having hte phenoix killing things well that how you upgrade the sword I think. The game usually randomly generated the best or mega worst swords in the game, the only down side sadness there is no spear in the game or either axes, hammer weapon, mace or so on so type weapons. Most of it is magic, bows and guns as the sword in the game is downside sad really for the sword in the game is a toothpick against bosses who is way too powerful then the black worshiper wizard junk.

The only way you can beat the boss with a sword is having lots of healing potions, but I find it stupid to try to temp.
