Low FPS

I just purchased the game but I'm experiencing frequent FPS drops. Is this common in this version or is there a fix for it? Thank you.

Hi there. This actually runs incredibly smoothly for me, much more so than the other early access games of this type (Starbound, Crea). Even when fighting the Necromancer, with 15 mobs and spells flying all over, no lag.

Have you tried closing other resource intensive tasks, such as streaming music and internet browsers?

The game work well even for old computers (but not too much, of course) What is your computer setup?

Try to close others programs when playing, and change the game's graphics settings:
-Play in fullscreen
-Resolution: choose a not too high resolution
-Shadows interpolation: 3
-Shadows precision: 1
-Ambiant shadows: unchecked

and at worst uncheck tiles joints.

Thank you. Apparently after the first time running it smoothed out. Not sure what changed but runs great now. All I did was possibly restart steam. Great game so far and thanks for the response.

No FPS drops, but I do get periodic/regular stutters, which I guess would be the same as an extreme drop in FPS - it isn't my machine though, I play pretty much everything on ultra with smooth FPS/play, and never have other apps open while playing.

I have bought the game and it ran perfectly for a couple of days. Now, no matter what I do, it lags so much it is literally unplayable. I can't even take a single step, let alone pause the game. I have tried quitting everything so that the game is the only thing running and I get the same problem. I have restarted steam, my computer, everything I can think of and it just won't work anymore. Anyone have any ideas? It was a great game, but I can't play it no matter how hard I try now.

И напишите заодно технические характеристики вашего компьютера и какая операционная система. Думаю это поможет быстрее получить ответ.

While waiting for the developers out of a New Year's drinking bout - do you know where the game files are on your hard drive? In my documents. Look how big userdata.bin file
And at the same time write specifications of your computer and which operating system. I think it will help to quickly get an answer.

It's a file corruption bug (a recurrent problem with the version 0.6.9).
If you want to fix your save now, send me your userdata.bin zipped (if size > 150MB) with http://wyvup.com/ (you can find it in your documents/planet centauri).

Btw the new patch (who will soon be out) will fix the problem.
