Now longer version. Max lvl of transformations is 30. It means you wount be able to improve creature stats too much, so you will end up with low-life low-dmg creature. It may be good for flying, but mostly just spamming dash is better idea anyway.
Creature you capture has random stats. Basic attack and hp can be very different, starting from 10, ending with some high numbers like 80. The more the better. Creature can be divine or even legendary but with trash stats like 20/30. So you should not use it for final transformation. Only your final transformation's form stats will be counted for transformation, destroying any stats of previous incarnations... So, if you are making legendary slime transformation with stats 50/50, but have divine slime right now with 80/80 for sacrifice - your final creature will be much weaker 50/50.
Also you should look for good abilities. Attack and health bonuses lower then 5 lvl are very low and not worth capturing. Try getting creatures with "giant" mod, "hp regen", "speed", "life steal".
When you do transformation your creature level always drops to 5, even if you sacrifice 70 lvl pet. So i advise not wasting your main dmg pets for transformations.
Also, do status buffs on creatures (hp regen, poison/burn on hit, certain types of resistances, etc) carry through to transformations? Or only for when you have it as a pet?
