Controls/Configuration??

I'm having issues in the beginning when the game teaches you how to Jump and Sprint (A and Shift respectfully) because HOW AM I SUPPOSED TO USE THE ARROW KEYS AND SHIFT WITH THE SAME HAND WHILE I'M USING JUMP FOR THE OTHER??

I tried pressing F1 in-game for configuration but whether I choose gamepad or keyboard, I'm not really sure what I'm looking at..

I also have the Steam Controller and looked up a keyboard configuration and tried changing some things around (Right Trigger for Shift) but it also doesn't work. I can't find a way to Jump with the Controller, either.

If I could get any help, i'd appreciate it!!

i dont think anyone plays this game anymore let alone knows how to fix the controls
left middle on shift, thumb on space, and use the other hand for arrow keys?

Ah, yeah I kinda figured but wanted to ask just in case. My computer is pretty old and isn't functioning well with game-playing, but I'll have to try your suggestion at some point. Thanks!
