Wow! Zanzarah is back!!!

Can it be? Really? My wife and I had this game, and lost it before we could finish it when we moved...have mourned it's loss ever since. It is an amazing RPG, play it!!! Where else could you train up killer fairies then fight them in Arenas? It's like a combo 3rd-person RPG/FPS! And both aspects are fantastically good. Again, play it! I'm picking it up TODAY. Thank you Steam!!!! -XT

Loved the game but this re-release is just bad. Yeah might run on a modern OS but besides that, there is NO difference to the original version. No widescreen support, 1024x768 max res. Also I have a extremly low framerate when a menu comes up. Please don't buy it. There is realy no point.

Point is that the game is now legally available for purchase trough digital distribution, Even a bare-bones release is better that nothing, as alternative would be hunting for retail copies, or acquiring the game trough... erm.. less-than-legal sources.

I absolutely agree with Agent Cooper. It's not like this game was a 'major' release in the first place, and thusly now easy to find just about anywhere on the cheap. I'd much rather play it as it is on Steam than Not At All, which has been my basic option until now. And plus, if there's enough of a positive buyer reaction, perhaps Deadelic may consider doing a little updating... (in your court now, Daedelic! ;D )

Well I still own the disc version. When I saw that Zanzarah released on steam I bought it immediately but when I saw that litteraly NOTHING changed it was a bummer... Can't be that hard to do some proper optimization for this decade or am I wrong? At least get rid of the launcher and add widescreen support.

Also still got the disc. Prize is reasonable but as there are no achievements or sweeteners I don't really need to buy, right?

Besides how about a Zanzarah 2 for a change, game's still fresh enough since there's no pokemon on PC.

Also why is every crappy early access game or amateur RPG maker game featured prominently and this shiny old gem gets no spotlight. Shame on it.

This game was my childhood. I played for days, a truly great game that went way too unnoticed. When I couldn't get my disc working on modern systems I was legitimately sad. I will happily suffer through the menu lags and low resolutions for this gem.

In saying that, I wouldn't object to those getting fixed. I don't mind them, but yeah :P
