A "global mod" seems not to exist. At least not in english or german language.
I found some russian entries (also on Youtube) describing a reshade mod. As either I don't speak or understand russian I have no intention to use it but it looks intersting and working.
If you want the game to get some more recognition though, because lets face it, this game is pretty obscure you can email some game reviewers that like doing obscure and idie games and maybe the game will get some sort of revival.
If we're talking about "Zanzarah by JW", that's not a reshade but a total remake on an Unreal-based custom engine. It seems that you can use ReShade[reshade.me] with Zanzarah tho'.
From what I know, there are Russians that are working on a Remaster, but a Sequel's 100% impossible as of now. (Remaster: https://vk.com/zanzarah_by_jw)
However, it does seem to be the best option for the franchise. Overall, what matters is *who* buys it.
The original german company ("funatics") went bankrupt.
Yes, it's a high risk. This weird combination of game elements confuses most audience.
On first look, Zanzarah looks like an action adventure, which it is definitely NOT.
A re-work of the gameplay would be necessary although I liked the combination.
Sorry to jump into this 5 years later haha, not meaning to necro a thread, but the Global Mod is now up to V4 and is available in English.
Just google "Zanzarah Global Mod" to find it.
It adds like 70+ new fairies and makes the game harder with many more roaming NPCs, the game becomes super tactical.
I got wiped out about 6/7 times before leaving the fairy garden (The first map) as someone who has finished the base game multiple times.
