I think it's pretty rare for newly released games to lack steam achievements and/or steam cards. I would welcome their addition.

Agreed. The game is quite nice although it's sad that the developer isn't updating it with more content but the Pixel art is the best part of the game IMO so I'd like to showcase it on my profile.
Simply slap a few of the nicest looking paintings and maybe some historical painters on cards and done. Free money for the dev.

I think Steam Achievements is my top pick as well to boost replay value and incentive to keep going. It's still pretty fun and I blew through 90mins first try. I guess you just play until everyone dies / you stop hiring more painters?

It needs like town exploration for rare things, skills, finding painters in person.
Painting competitions, being able to see the buildings your painters work on, choosing your painting style and more choice in the direction. The timing of some paintings can be annoying close to work awhile and then have them still cancel - I wish they had a way to request more time with a discount or something on those. Perhaps painters can marry and have kids that also probably become a painter or something lol. Weather and seasons could be interesting too.
