Guide: Improve image quality with Deband [ReShade]
Get ReShade here {LINK REMOVED}
Official page: http://reshade.me/
Community: http://reshade.me/forum/index

Steps for those who have never used ReShade:

1. Extract the following from the rar to \steamapps\common\Necropolis: ReShade32.dll, ReShade.fx, and the ReShade folder
2. Rename ReShade.dll to opengl32.dll
3. Locate and open CustomFX inside the ReShade folder. Find **DEBAND** and repalce the 0 with 1 in the line "#define USE_DEBAND 0"
4. Save
5. Launch the game
6. Enjoy smooth color gradients.

Additonal setting for improving IQ with SMAA:

Locate and open SweetFX file in ReShade folder. Find **SMAA** and change the 0 to 1 in the line "#define USE_SMAA 0"
Save

The game's own anti-aliasing solution is pretty weak and Reshade's SMAA is better. Having both enabled gives the best result in my opinion.

A good number of other shaders are availble in this package for you to play around with if you wish to customize the look further to your personal tastes.

Edit: Expect a very minimal fps loss (2-3 at most)
