To everyone that thinks the game has dumb AI etc.
Ironically, AI in games, especially Dark Souls and the like, is nowhere near intelligent. Doesn't even need to be, because adding difficulty to a dumb AI is the same style DS went with. They simply move towards the player, start their attack or combo when they get close and that's about it. I'm not trying to defend this game to the death here, but since my opinion is that DS2 sucked big time and the only thing I liked was the controls, I decided to give this game a go, and honestly, when you get down to level 5, things start going a bit tougher. Hell, even some of the enemies dodge your attacks, or actively block them. The only issue I see right now is the bugs, that are, mysteriously, all over the place with just about any game with that art style, and you often get enemies spawning in walls, pretty sure stuff spawning right on top of you is also a bug. All we can hope for is getting those fixed at some point. Also, people have said that the enemies have friendly fire and hit themselves, that is according to the devs, working as intended. Why'd you think they'd add friendly fire for us, if the enemies didn't also have it? This is not Magicka.

And that's about it, the AI may be dumb, but there isn't any similar game that doesn't have dumb AI...

Literally its has enemy walked into my aggro detection? Yes. Stick onto enemy.

If 1 player runs into a room and pulls all the mobs, those mobs will never swap targets, so you could have 5 mobs running after player A who is running and player B is just hitting all the other mobs and they're falling down, getting back up and still chasing player A as long as they have aggro.

This sort of detection is much worse than games like Dark Souls. It's simpler than you think.
You're probably right, with that price there's no chance my friends are going to get into this, so I have no idea what stuff happens on multiplayer. If that's the case, the game feels even more rushed. It's like gathering up all the hype, then dropping a bomb that doesn't explode

Nah. The bomb did explose in their face. That's called the refund bomb. Very deadly for devs that release a game in a poor state with meh AI and next to no content. It hits even harder when the studio is used to release good games and now that big stinky mess of a game is in their list of created games.

OK, back from another 2 runs I did and I died twice in level 1 because of spiders doing unavoidable damage, and stagger. Last run I had a staff, that one with the red/white orb, tier 3, sometimes not registering hits. And finally, tell me how the hell the game is locked at 30 FPS when I'm playing on a beast of a gaming rig, on lowest graphics, how is that even possible. That's what I'm talking about when I said it's a buggy mess...the AI might be the least of our worries here

Even in Dark Souls 1 the AI goes beyond this, but it's intentionally saved for tougher enemies/phantom enemies so they're more threatening.

I agree that on the lower floors the enemies do get more devious, but the AI is still a bit too easy to exploit. The simple fact that no enemies can go up single steps is the biggest flaw.

This is bullsh*t. I can agree with a lot of arguments as to why this game may be good or not, but from everything I've seen the worst position is trying to argue that the AI is good because it simply isn't. It's actually as simple as it gets, no pathfinding, no logic, no nothing. They just rush at you and occasionally randomly dodge at later levels.

I don't want to get into a discussion about Dark Souls AI, but I'm just gonna say it's much much better than this for various reasons. It is perfect for what Dark Souls is.

With that logic you might as well say we are all "lowering the bar" for dark souls. A game that was very specific in its design. It also has bad AI compared to a lot of rpgs.

Ah, whatever, you were probably saying that anyway.
