Can't keep my people alive longer than 10 days
Maybe I just dont get this game. I'm having a hell of a time keeping my people alive long enough to get the fruit basket or anything to help with food. I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong or if I'm just not good at this game lol

Salvage from the ship? Should be at least enough to keep you're people alive 10 days and then some.

Slavage 1-2 times a day, maybe even only once a day in the plane. Try to get somewhere new to explore every day and reserch constantly. The breaking point for me was the fishing rod. Untill you reach that your going to have troubles with food/water unless you get lucky exploring. (though there are meny good sources of food you can find by doing so)

Also, in the scheme of things, better to keep people at lowish fatigue rather then high, the extra depression becomes difficult otherwise.

The start of the game is when it's hardest to survive. The first two priorities are getting wood for the camp fire and water since you don't want to run out of either, which means getting everything up to at least fruit basket.

Since you're dying of starvation (right?), but before fruit basket, it does sound like you need to raid the plane, since there should be enough food to get everything up to cooking pot. Do you have two people on research, and two crafting?

Try not to waste food (getting too much or letting it rot respectively)- you won't have enough food for everyone in the long term until you get at least fishing (fish rots into barely edible stuff which is at least safe to eat), and while sticking two people on fruit can help make food last a little longer, it's not enough to sustain everyone.

Keeping people at low fatigue in general is a good idea, if you're running out of food, it can be good to make a rush for fishing rod or cooking pot.

You are doing something bad, dood. Best advise, stop exploring the island and concentrate your efforts on finishing camp and ONLY Explore if you can spare the manpower.

I spent almost 110 days finishing the game. Concentrate on Scavenge (Wood/Stone/Rope) and Research until you hit the Fishing, Fruit Basket and the Cooking Pot.

I would avoid Hunting and just do that in case of an emergency since Injury can not be healed till end game or you hit with some Painkillers.

From there, keep researching and stop Exploring the island. Save that effort to grind as much resources you can Scavenge(Wood/Stone/Rope) and stop Scavenging the Airplance after around 5-6 searches since after that is just Drugs and Bandages you will find.

RESEARCH IS HIGHLY IMPORTANT! Man I keep remembering stuff... Hoarding is bad, if you see yourself hoarding items, just dont. Use them as soon as you need them. They will save a LOT of time.
