It says it Steam Deck verified. All I see is a black screen (new + classic) with sound. I have an OLED model. How to fix?

I've been playing through this game on veteran-normal, and I can make it to the final weapon rarely dieing with most ships I've tried. In some instances not dieing at all. Now I'm completely stuck, I can't beat this the final weapon at all... I don't even know if I'm close. I've tried the "barely move" strategy to no effect. The patterned bullets aren't that bad, but the crazy bullet spam is almost impossible to avoid. I've spent more time on the final boss than the rest of the game, and I feel like I've p...
