Multiplayer problems?

So I just got FOT a couple days ago and a friend got it yesterday, everything works perfectly except the multiplayer, there's no games there at all (Not sure if that's a problem or just nobody plays it)
We've tried hosting games, didn't work so we used Hamachi and could at least detect each other's games, but we can't connect, it just keeps sayin "A connection failed".
Any helpful advice? I've googled but to no avail.

To clarify. I meant how would I find out my own and your IP

Just create game and connect to ip. you can find it if you go start then type cmd, then type ipconfig in the command manager

might try "game ranger" thats how my freinds and i play games like age of empires 2. im fairly sure i saw FoT on the list of supported titales but im not 100% i havn't used the program in ages.

Oh and last i checked Game Ranger is free.

We tried it, but my friend got an error when trying to join my game, working on a solution.
