Alt+Tab on linux, breaks all keyboard inputs?
Anyone know how to fix? Apparently on windoze this is a known bug, but you fix it by either pressing left alt again once back in game, or by hitting Alt+S to do a quicksave, and this reportedly fixes your keys - Thread from 2014 talking about it.

This however, doesn't seem to work for linux/proton. Once I alt tab out, then alt tab back in, I can't use any keyboard keys 'till I restart the game, including alt or alt+s. At least, when playing fullscreen (haven't tested to see if windowed mode will let me alt+tab - not wanting to make my GUI tiny). Any ideas?

Update 45 minutes later: Alright, I found a workaround after experimenting.

If you use a small resolution like 800x600, windowed or not, the Alt and Alt+S tricks work, to make your keyboard work again. But if you use a resolution added by the BOS_HR patch (included in steam) such as 1920x1080 or 1280x720, your keyboard stays broken. HOWEVER, once your keyboard is bugged, you CAN use your mouse to briefly change your resolution to 800x600, press Alt once to fix your keyboard, then switch back to the resolution of your choosing, and your keyboard stays functioning! Pretty annoying having to do this every time you alt+tab when not using 800x600, but... better than nothing.

Also noticed my steam overlay only works when the game is at 800x600, and will even activate mid-game upon resolution change. Yet using or switching to 1280x720, the overlay just goes away... *shrug*

Anyway, I'll leave this thread here in case it helps someone.
