Targeting in real time

I've started a new game and am using my significant experience with it to play it a bit different. Part of that is using tactics such as bum rushing enemies with melee weapons that most of my team are very bad with, since the little hits that cause momentary stun add up and make many or even most enemies go down without significant retaliation.

But I'm getting on in the game and at this point I know that there's a shift coming where that's not an option anymore, very soon in fact, the next mission after my current will be the first time I encounter death claws in a mission (I've already killed many in random encounters, granted usually with the help of other enemies distracting them). I could still be an option, if my melee/unarmed tagged characters could consistently hit them in the eyes, which yes they could except... except Tactics doesn't allow that. Fallout tactics will let aim shots, but will only EVER target the torso, it always defaults back to torso and a recent test suggests to me that even the first shot after selecting isn't an eye shot, and it literally sticks to torso no matter what you do. Torso shots are better than nothing, but winded is weak compared to KO or blinded, and I could even see with a full team with 90-120 skill setting them all to target different parts, allowing a more through crippling of opponents.

But that's not happening, because again, every single time I select anything in the aim me menu, the game nopes it back to torso, the least useful aimed shot.

Any suggestions? Is there a fix or something I'm missing here?

Tactics allows you to aim at the eyes dunno what your talking about
legit look at your targeting screen and click the little button it increases the AP cost and right click it to change where you wanna aim
default aim spot i think is eyes so

80-120 in a skill is kinda low
