Redux by itself fixes a bunch of mostly harmless bugs and corrects typos, but it also adds new problems, like increasing the damage by crazy amounts which turns the game into a horrible save scum fest.
Equilibrium does a decent job of trying to rebalance Redux, but it still makes the game feel quite different to vanilla.
So I'd play unmodded.
Redux+Equilibrium isn't bad, but it's not as essential as people make out.
Doesn't vanilla tactics have issues with vehicles? The main reason i want to mod tactics is because I want to fix any bugs. I dont know much about tactics but if the game is fairly stable I guess I'll stick with vanilla.
