Help with game editing
I have no idea what I'm doing. I want to play this game with edited characters, either with a save game editor or starting from scratch. I just reinstalled the game and patch 1.27 which contains FT tools which I have now earthly clue how to use. I tried BOSCHE 3.1 and now it's not even finding my save plus it had that annoying glitch where your character would instantly jump to wherever you clicked instead on running there so I miss enemies and things that require a direct line of sight. Honestly I barely know how to install this stuff so please explain it to me in the most basic terms. Thank you in advance for your help.

OK, after a lot of searching and reading I found out I had to unzip some .bos files. Then I had to find out what that meant and how to do it. But I finally got to where I could use FT tools to edit prefab characters to start a new game with. Problem is they do that annoying thing where they instantly appear where to tell them to go instead of moving there normally. Which as I mentioned means I miss enemies and things. I tried going back and making sure everything was below max thinking maybe it was a result of having too many levels of bonus move or something but it still does it. Is there a way to avoid this? With a different editor or maybe I did something with FT tools that I didn't think to undo. I'm going to try editing a second prefab but not actually changing anything to see if that works.

They instantly teleport around the map? Were you using some kinda cheat engine program?

If you're interested in FoT modding, you really need to read the EDITOR_README.txt inside the main folder. It's pretty easy to change just about anything once you figure out the basics.
