Invite/Join broken

I cant join game my friends with the Join option from the Steam friendlist anymore because its greyed out.
Same with the invite option ingame. Its greyed out.

Even more annoying is that i cant even join his table manually because it simply does not show up even though his table had empty seats.

That's definitely something we should look into.

Two questions: 1) How long have you had this issue? Were you able to join games with your friends previously, or has this always been a problem?

2) If you're still having this issue, could you capture a screenshot? That would help us tremendously in figuring out why you're seeing what you're seeing.

I have also had this problem ad well. Also lots of empty servers to join when I know other friends are in public games that have 3 other spots free.

honestly i'm not sure how long the invite/joining friends problem has been going on.. i've only resently tried that one in the past week.
as far as just finding tables to play at they seem way more empty than they use to be. Saturday night i tried to find Bl1p and some others at the 1k table. They had open seats at their 1k table but when i tried to join i would only get an empty table. This wasn't the first time i had experienced that problem. it seems like the empty tables issue has been going on since maybe last week sometime. sorry i don't have any screenshots. all my screenshots would show tho is me sitting at or joining an empty table not sure if that would help much. thanks for responding nex and looking into this. i have a few friends from 4 kings that are gradually drifting over here and i can't seem to join them to play a few games.

The constant empty tables have been i have noticed for a day or two. I keep getting empty tables when looking for 1000 and 5000 tables while normally i would find a 1000 table easily. Okay, that's good information. Thanks. We'll take a look and try to figure out why this is happening.

Are you trying to invite friends from your Steam friends list like Genometric Dizzy, or attempting to join their game by selecting the same buy-in and game type?

i think mostly everyone's talking about inviting friends from their friend's list. i've actually tried it both ways. when bl1p, coldgills and bacon were all trying to join a 1k table. it was at a time when there wasn't many players on the game. we have to do it thru invites which were working at the moment. i only know that its tough to join friends in a game and the 1k and 5k tables always seem to be empty no matter what time of night or day it is.

How I get it to work sometimes.... I think :)

I make sure my steam firends is online before I start the game.

If tournament I select the buy in, Privacy and location then enter it So im sitting in its lobby, wait till it ungreys ready and Invite Friends, then invite friends.
(A list drops down which I can select people from of my online steam friends.)
When everyone is there everyone presses ready, Unless you are 6 then it auto starts.

If ring I select the buy then invite friends not waiting for ready or anything.
Once they apear you go in.

At least that works sometimes for me :)

P.S. Yes as starbreeze says 1k and 5k ring is almost always empty these days.
Sometimes I ask friends what they are playing, They will say 1k with 3 empty chairs.
Yet no matter how many times I refresh the 1k table thiers does not show.

It's possible that a lot of these bugs were put on hold since it was just released on the Xbox One. Hopefully we will see some updates.
