I'm not entirely sure I understand what you're asking, but it's not the deck.

People bring this up for most poker games. We can confirm that the deck IS IN NO WAY rigged.

Can we get a facepalm emote for the calling stations? :)

Shotgun, in any game of free poker you are going to have many many folks that play very very sub-optimum. In live (READ: REAL MONEY) games, either online or brick and mortar, where you have a table of players that are "sub-optimum" you will get an inordinate amount of suckouts and many a bad day IF you do not adjust to their play. Why - because they cannot or will not adjust to yours. And the reason is - they don't know the odds, they don't care about the odds, they have no clue of optimum play, AND they are just there to have fun. THAT, sir or madam, is why drunks have caused me more heartache at a poker table than any other type of person.

Here in Prominence Poker - you have to find the OPTIMAL ways to regularly play and beat the sub-optimal players. LOL. Otherwise you are in the boat of "expecting a pig to sing"... or fly. ;)

Dude I have lost MONSTER hands to 2 rags on the turn/river alot.

Now some players will troll with these rags 'cause they know you are most likely to never expect them to.

Ok so I got KAs on the button and I raise 3x the pot. All fold but the troll (didnt know he was a troll at the time). Flop comes out awesome for me A K 7 , so I bet , he calls, the turn card was a 2 of hearts, I bet again...he calls again....River comes a 7.....Now I was thinking imagine if i had played 72 LMAO I would have won the pot. Frigging A K 7 2 7 and guess what!... it was him who had a full house from the 72 he played, just cause I bet big preflop he wanted in that pot no matter what cards he had and his trolling payed off with a full house. So the standard poker strategy that pros use preflop wont work here! Betting big preflop makes them want to go in to see the flop this is their strategy. If you limp in its almost the same case, he sees a cheap flop and can play his trollish ways even easier. Almost no way to avoid these trolls, use alot of caution.

So to recap, he played out of position with 72 ofst and called in a 3x preflop bet. He got his reward knowing full well that I had big cards and his 72 was gonna go under the radar, until its too late for me. Funny how I thought about the 72 fullhouse infront of me and still like an idiot didnt fold. I called the cards he had in my head but never actually thought he would have played them and called a big preflop 3x bet with a 72.....I mean what kinda jackass does that?

So I hope this story makes you more careful. Remember this is not a real tournament or a live cash game. It is play chips and people will play out of position and bet all kinds of stupid amounts on stupid rag cards just caus' they want to troll you. They stand to lose nothign but some fake play chips, but stand to gain the "LOL @ you cause I killed your Aces with seven deus LOLOLOLTROLOLOLTROLL." So you have to adapt your style to this kind of game. Be ready for anything and anyone to call on any rags.

So ya thats why the cards may seem preloaded for action and the trolls just make it seem all that much more. I honestly do belive that the devs are being honest with us and that there is no such thing as a loaded deck for action, but hey Im the idiot who saw that 72 fullhouse and still called it with a KA 2 pair......

Stop complaining about high variance it's as if you don't even understand poker at all.. you have to adapt to different players and if you make the right plays you win in the long run anyway..

LOL this is hilarious, so its the cards fault you went all in on something and got toasted? When you have 5 or 6 people at a table the odds of a second person having something similar but better can be pretty high. You have to weigh your odds, this isn't rocket science, odds dont' change and just because you for example have a straight, doesnt' mean the other guy doesnt' have that straight but with a higher top card, thats poker you just gotta adjust.

Tex, I couldnt have said it better myself. Out of all the online poker games I have played Prominence has a good system. The players who are here just for fun dont last long. Heartaches you say?! Theres nothing worse than a bad player with good cards.

On a side note: I got my but kicked last night, lost 11k. I was finding myself playing loose. I was tired while being aggressive (not a good combo) led me to my losses. I did get lucky on a few junk hands I limped in on and I rarely play junk. I was tired. Im still within the top 100 bankroll list :steamhappy:

And then there are also still sites like QuarterPoker.com which use Cubeia Software that was once open source. So you can go check the deck shuffle algorithm yourself.

ive played poker for 15 years live/online/and games like this.
im level 29 so have played a ok sample size of hands.
it seems fine to me, at 1st i thought it might be programmed so the best hand holds up on the flop becaue my flush draws (33%) would never get there, but i kept playing and it seems to have evened out.

1.poker is a sick game anyway - live aswell
2. AA vs 1 other player in a pot is 80% fav to win - so 8times out of 10
AA vs 5 players - forget it. ur odds of winning are about 2 in 10
3. people dont fold in play money games - you need to adjust your style
4.i have not purchased chips and i have 250k in under a week - the games are soft - maybe your game is not as good as you think it is ;)

Keep going devs, I would love to see this on console as my friends who dont play for real money will love this

ive said it in other posts, If you ever what feedback ill be happy to give it.

1 big improvement would be if you can speed the shuffle/deal ect up.
that being said this game is great and has hugh potential ;)

Just to add

ACE KING SUITED VS 2 7 OFF SUIT - AK wins 2 out of 3 - 33% of the time 2 7 off wins ;P

Whatever you say. If there was real money at stake I'd be saying I hope I meet you on the tables at this point, but because this is meant to be just a bit of fun. I hope I never do. Your attitude is abysmal, and the information provided by these people you are insulting is very good. If you choose not to take heed of it that's your loss.
