Ranked Provisional Players

A couple times today I sat in a queue for about half an hour waiting for a provisional ranked game, but it looks like there's not enough people on it to get a game started. Is that normal?

Yes, it is. Waiting a good while to play a ranked tournament is normal, actually, though I have been able to get into a few pretty easily. It depends on if your timing is lucky, I suppose.

The developers, or at least one of them, said big changes were coming for next season. This current season ends in 5 or 6 days or something, so I hope that vastly improves the wait time.

most are at least bronze after the 2 mounths its almost over... try again in 5 days..it will restart and everyone will be provintal for the 5 qualifying games

Off-peak times you can be waiting for over an hour in 6 player tournaments. When you get to platinum you will be waiting longer. Over an hour in peak times because when you drop down from platinum and wait in gold que gold players just keep leaving the que to drop down to silver.

Not sure what's it's like as bronze player for que times, but when you get to gold you can get several 6 player tournaments a day.

Best to just tab out and watch a movie while you wait.

Peak times are between 6pm-12pm GMT.

Remove that quick play option. Before that lots of provisional players were queueing.

Ranked play has been slow on the PC since I started, just not enough players. I never waited more than a few minutes to play ranked on the Xbox, until you made platinum then you'd be in the queue for a while.

Been queued 1 1/2 hours waiting for a silver game, had 3-5 players ready but can't get started.

So I waited 3+ hours to get a silver game, end up with oner gold and 4 provionals. only need ten points for gold but doubt I can get another T started.

3 hours is the longest I've heard.

Might be because it's the end of the season and many don't wan't to drop down a rank. Coupled with the fact it's not even peak tme yet.
