Need to kill Worm Guy!
So I am finding this game is quite consuming, hahaha. Anyway, I am having problems killing the worm guy on day one. I have tried to use my scalpel as well as the gun I got from the dead policemen (I thought I put in bullets) Nothing seems to work. The keybinding say that it is left (or right) mouse button but I hit it and nothing happens, the worm guy just beats me to death over and over. As I missed an important bit at the beginning before I am wondering if I am again missing something or if I have a glitch? Any suggestions? Also, are there any other players who love this game like I do and want to share insights with me on playing it, I would apprecoate it. I hope more of these games will be made!

You should be able to kill him. I avoided him though and just went straight to Vlad the Youngers house. Talked to him then went outside and saw the Worm was gone.

Press tab to show fists/weapon.

No need to kill him no matter what and I'm honestly quite surprised by the amount of new players that kill him/try to kill him. When I first encountered him and followed him to Young Vlads house, my first reaction to him attacking me was just running into the house. Why bother fighting him with nothing to gain from it?
Pressing TAB is a nice advice. Not killing him at all is also a nice advice.
He is just a normal citizen, he only attacks you because people around ere are racist/spiciest against worms and he is engaged in a shady activity. Worms are a species, the one you meet in the City and the one who is chilling in Eva's garden are two different people.

you must cleanse the town, that includes steppe people aswell. Allowing them to roam around town is the worst act of heresy.

You are there to help the population, the population think they are a problem and don't like them, so I get rid of them.

But Worms ARE the VITAL part of the population. As well as human natives. Without worms caring about the bulls town will literally die.
Town survives harvesting beef and beef accessories -> worms are the only who are qualified to take care of bulls fully -> no worms = no bulls = no money/food = town ded.
Besides, worms are the only one who can take care of twyr herbs, who can nourish them and cut/process them without making them poisonious -> twyr is the vital part of only type of medicine effective against the plague -> no worms = no medicine = town ded.
U mad, bro?

Honestly, I'd just rather you avoid spoilers or use spoiler tags. 90% of the joy of this game is finding out/figuring out everything on your own.

I would but its all first day stuff. If not Bachelors then Haruspex. Aspity, Olgimiskis, the worms themselves explain like all of it. Some of the things I said used to be printed at the back of the CD case, man. My only regret in life is that in russian the game named literally "The Plague. Utopia" and english name does not deliver orz Some people were legit surprised that there is a plague in this game.
My point is - its all about paying attention. If person weren't paying any, well.

I agree Murcdusen. When I first encountered worm, I just tried to get away but I messed up and ended up trapped. There's a reason I don't play 'shooter' type games, ;-). I couldn't seem to get past him and looked up a walkthrough for first day which said you HAD to kill him, implying that if you didn't, you couldn't progress. I was much happier to avoid him and go into Vlads place (I think its Vlad?) I also think Einherjar is right, part of the fun is discovering things on ones own...except when I get stuck to where a whole night of gaming flies by and I still haven't progressed, ha! Glad I'm not alone in my love for this bizzare gem.

I got Vlad pissed off at me and then he clammed up and was no help after that. Sent the Butcher to the Steppes, talked to everyone I could find. Druggie Clairvoyant lady no help to me after warning me of my death. Dodged the Worm totally on accident first time around by ducking back into Vlads then re-emerging to see that he was gone, but lost the Gong Show at around midnight still running around trying to figure things out [ maybe by trying to get to the kids OD party and head it off ], but as we all know, The Bell Tolls For Thee, and that was that. Cutscene, Plague Doom, fade to black.

Back to the Drawing Board.........

I have lost the Gong show more times than I care to admit, hahaha. I had to get help as I couldnt figure out why I kept dying. It didnt help my gaming that I was so taken aback by the graphics of this game (I am in love with this games design along with Albino Lullaby) that I would just walk around for hours. If you need help, message me and I will gladly assist. Hpwever I am only on day 2 so I wont be much help, ha! :)

Thank You Sarah. You are smart indeed, to have really made it so far as even Day Two. My strategy this time around was to toss Day One into the abbitoir and begin again. A critical foulup on my part was a decision, before heading to the town Center and thus the fateful Downer Lady ''Midnight'' warning, earlier in the afternoon between 2 and 4, of taking a brief nap of two hours in order to test the dynamics of sleep on my abiity to reduce exhaustion.

Those two hours, ended up costing me my life. I return to town again, a little wiser...
