What is the gameplay like?

I know its first person and i see it labeled as survival a lot, but what do you actually do in this game? Is there fighting? Are there different playstyles like magic, guns, melee? Is it just exploration and gathering? Talking to NPCs, getting quests?

There is scavenging, time management, supply management, health management, sidequests, REALLY awful combat, and lots of text. It's an excellent experience if you're willing to put in the time it takes to learn the game and immerse yourself in both the world and atmosphere.
There are guns and knives, but no magic. It's not a traditional RPG by any means, more of a plot-driven survival game with combat on the side.

I liked the combat, it requires a lot of stepping in and out while knowing how to react to both your swings and the enemies since both are randomized. Very personal 1v1 moments between you and your opponents.
