Здарова, гмыза обоссаная! Как оно?

Why not buy it then, if that video impressed you so?
The authors could use every bit of cash.

Are you here to actually talk about the game or circle jerk to some youtuber jabroni and not buy and play the game yourself?

I suspect the latter. The game was at 90% (!) discount for a week or so, just after he posted that. If he was indeed so interested in it rather than in promoting some youtuber, it would've been a no-brainer for him.

If you liked a review you'd go ahead and buy it to try it out for yourself. Not; like a review, go to the community forum and advertise the Youtuber who made the review to say how "amazing" the review is, don't buy the game and forget that the game even existed.

Imagine putting your life priority over some Youtuber instead of yourself. Man, this is just sad.

In the video linked the youtuber actually recommends against buying the game and tells people to just buy the sequel instead. He also references another video by MandaloreGamer who also recommends against buying the game... And he also made a video about the sequel where he suggested getting that instead too.

Fact is, while this is a game probably worth making a 2 hour video about... It's a very hard game to recommend. Especially since the sequel is a much easier game to get into.

I have played all of about an hour of this game, and well we are near the end of 2019 and it is now my worst game of the year. This game is ♥♥♥♥. I wish I had watched some play throughs rather than listening to recommendations.

That's pretty harsh and, I would say, unfair. It's unintuitive and unforgiving, sure, but even though I'm really struggling with it (I'm also struggling to actually want to play it more in the first place) I don't feel dismissing it like that is doing it justice. 10 hours in and I'm still at the start of day 2 though so I mean it's not for everyone I guess

If you are struggling to play it why are you?
There are that many games on the market, if a game is bad, throw it aside there are plenty more.

Well I haven't for a while, but I played as much as I did because I'm hoping that some of the mysteries get explained. I'm also expecting that they probably won't, and therefore the struggle

I like the game because I'm one of the very few types of people who don't mind the glaring problems in a game like this. But yeah, almost every aspect of the game's actual gameplay is terrible. It's completely fair to call it a bad game.

It's still a good game in that it really nails a few key elements so well that it has a small cult following. But it only has a "small" following because everything else is bad. In some cases like the combat or the ridiculous amount of very slow walking you do; it's REAL bad. It's telling that the best parts of the game are the soundtrack and the dialog screens, as it makes the rest of the game feel like nearly 20 hours of padding per playthrough.

The sequel fixes most of these problems and is probably an overall better game because of it. But it's only got one story route right now.

Most of the mysteries get explained, but it's possible to miss explanations because you said the wrong thing in a dialog and ended a dialog early by asking the wrong thing. You kind of need to avoid asking questions you already know the answer to and sometimes feign ignorance in order to get NPCs to give you crucial information, and sometimes info is only hinted at in one character's story and then fully explained in another's.

Hopefully you have a full 60 hours you can set aside if you want to figure everything out. Oh and the game has 2 secret endings which you can sort of lock yourself out of.

Yeah, I can see what you're saying. I tend to think that there's underlying game mechanics that I'm not understanding if I have so much trouble, rather than thinking it's the fault of the game. Maybe in this case it's a bit of both.

Honestly I'm not sure if I'll ever manage to complete it once, let alone three times, but hey you never know

Umm Hbomberguy recommends the sequel rather than the original game
