SOLUTION: Vertex Shader Crash

This issue has been fixed with the latest installer, but I'm leaving this issue up as a legacy thread just in case someone runs into the issue again somehow.

If you run into a crash that displays "FATAL ERROR in Vertex Shader compilation", you can fix the issue by downloading and installing this DirectX package[www.microsoft.com].

After downloading and extracting, run the DXSETUP.exe to install. Simply downloading and unzipping will not fix the problem.

If you're still seeing the issue after properly installing the runtime, let us know in this thread so we can dig into it further.

Welp, i have the problem for a long time, i only can play in friend`s computers :c

i wait for out to the Early acceso, but still "FATAL ERROR in Vertex Shader compilation". I installed DXsetup several times, and forms, but nothing

All game Run fine, but i cant choise a character :c

Are you running the executable inside of the package you download? There's a first step that only unzips the package but doesn't do anything else. Once you do that you can go to where you unzipped it, find the executable among all of those files and run that.

That crash you're getting just means you haven't installed that version of DirectX on your PC.

Yeah, i try the both forms, the Exe inside and out and other many forms, but, nothing :c

After install drivers from the web, try one more time, but dont work.

(The Menu character sometimes loading fast, sometimes loading slow)
You can see, all works, teams, life, menu, control, etc. but cant pick a character.

Maybe i need wait for better PC.

does that have somethign to do with it for the stage bug of sometimes if i choose the stage after launching the game or soemtimes inbetween whatever or what else... ah who cares i leve it up there and somewhere else and sorry if i spamed it to often and sorry that i did not know where to write it best and wrote it anywhere so well its up now

dont judge my new 1500€ overkill pc wiht everything its some driver issue of game to my drivers and mine are the newest and all that bla in any way

still explain a complete reinstallation with deinstalling it first or should not work
at least for me was the case

I've been having similar problems, but the fixes you present aren't working. I've tried the Directx at the link you provided and I also tried installing and reinstalling directx 12. I made a thread of my own featuring the error message I recieve when trying to select a character(titeled 'I can't select a charcter').
