Buddies to CPUs

So we cant give buddies to CPUs? Also how do you change the alts on CPUs?

Some buddies are designed to effect your enemies when you equip them & some others (like the boss buddy) have inputs you can do during the countdown to determine who they effect. Most buddies just flat out can't be used on CPUs though.

The only way I know to change a CPU's alt is by making them human first. If you don't have a device connected to the slot the CPU is in, I don't know what to do about it. I don't know why these limitations exist.

Yeah I always assumed I was just too dumb to know how to do it, but these limitations really do exist. It just seemed like common sense to include.

Yep. It gives an enemy a health bar & increases their stats. It also makes them teleport over the stage if they almost touch the blast zone. You can do tilt left stick up or down during the countdown to change who the boss is or parry to make the boss giant.
