Linux and/or Mac OS Support?
I would like to see Linux support.

The game currently has no plans for Mac or Linux support, but I have tested it in Wineskin. Wineskin makes it work almost perfectly, however, you can't play multiplayer because Wineskin can't take controller input. Running steam through Wineskin has it's own set of problems, such as the inability to use Steam Overlay, but I'm sure online will work without it.

i am begging you to bring this jewel to Linux, it looks so promising and i am a huge SSBM fan :) btw... does it have wave-dashing and L-canceling? ;D

vote for Linux +1

Paez, wave dashing yes, but not very effective. L-cancelling is done automatically (basically)

You have? I've been trying to get it to work in Wineskin (on Mac), but I keep getting a syntax error when I select a character. I'm absolutely positive DirectX is installed within the wrapper.

Love Melee and really wish we had some more fighting games on Linux already. Isn't this in Game Maker anyway? Should be able to export with one click.

Already have a SteamOS machine in my living room with 4 controllers, so I will definitely buy this as soon as it's released for Linux..

ATTENTION ALL MAC (and possibly Linux) USERS. I HAVE THE GAME WORKING ON MY MAC IN WINE.

Oh Goodness Gravy, I got it working! To all the mac users out there, the web installer won't work... but the redistributable will.

Follow the instructions on this site. I know it says Linux, but it worked fine for me. You can skip the steps "Setup Core Files", and "Setup Additional Files".

Here is a link to the Redistributable.
