fair enough but it wasnt a question of it is "intergeral" with certain techniques, its not a question of difficulty in the techique, and it's not a question of it bringing new combos to a character. Wavedashing was an unintentional technique that opened up combos and strings that shouldn't be possible in the game normally. It was taken out of future title's for this reason. However, it's not really that unfair because everyone can do it. Does the fact that it opens up combos that shouldn't normally be possible make it not a questionable technique to be put in the game?
Well... I really can't argue against that.
I know he did but smash 4 became a competative game. On top of that wavedashing isn't needed to make a game competative.
Im mostly talking about the mechanic of wave dashing itself. Charles Sockley had a great point on how the game is actaully balanced around it unlike melee. I can respect this viewpoint. I personally find wavedashing a little annoying to play against. I wanted to here other people's views on this game mechanic.
okay. I mentioned that it wasn't a glitch but I can respect your point of view.
I'm starting to realize that this is one of those things were you think its bad but then everyone else likes it... I'm quickly realizing that I'm just being nitpicky.
thanks for your opinions guys
If you have a problem with it, just don't play RoA. You seem to enjoy Smash4, why not just stick to that?
As the game gets older, though, I'm sure some people will find out how to use it properly and will, you know, actually exploit it to its full extent instead of as an alternative to taunting. It probably requires quick inputs to work properly, though, which means it'll probably only be used in competitive play.
I like the sound effects too.
