Kragg...
I have nothing against heavy characters. I have nothing against characters with good recovery. But when a hard-to-launch character has a free recovery, what am I supposed to do to defeat it? Also, let's talk about edgeguarding. Out of all the edgeguarding I've been on the receiving end of, Kragg did it the best... and he didn't ever need to leave the stage, just pulls out a boulder and throws it. His attacks all do ridiculous damage and have almost no startup or endlag, either. Seriously, am I missing something here, or does Kragg need a serious nerf?

The fact that Kragg is big and doesn't get launched far makes him more susceptible to combos than the rest of the cast. Also, while he may not be slow compared to the likes of, say, Ike from Smash Bros, he is still slower than the rest of the cast save Absa.

Speaking of which, Absa probably has the easiest time beating him. She likes to stay away from her opponents, and with Kragg being slow and a big target she can harass him with clouds and thunderbolts all day long. She can recover very easily vs him, too.

The game vs Kragg as other characters generally consists of getting in there and doing long combos, while watching out for his Pillar tricks (they're virtually always escapable) and mixing up your recovery so you don't get a rock in the face.

Kragg does seem ridiculous at first. He has some major flaws. His recovery might seem great but if you destroy the pillar, he is in for some serious trouble. At this point, if you knock him off stage after you destroy his pillar, he won't be able to bring out a new one for some time. He will either fall to his death or he'll do his "ball thing" (side special). It's so common to see this follow up. Parry his ball. It will give you a free hit. He might get his pillar back in this time but you can repeat this process until he has way too much damage.

That sums up the flaw in his recovery game.
Besides that, he is combo bait. It can be easy to put serious damage on him if you know how. This renders his wieght useless at times.

Something that might help too; learn to play Kragg. If you know him, you'll know how to fight him.

Kragg is not broken, he just happens to be one of the characters that gives newer players the most trouble. He is really good due to his design as well as most of the mechanics that are unique to this game helping him out a lot, but he also has a good number of weaknesses that keep him from being busted, such as the fact that he is the easiest character to parry (compared to the rest of the cast, many his attacks are actually quite slow) and his vulnerability to longer combos.

If I have some time later, I may go into detail about Kragg's recovery and how it functions, but for now, mind if I ask if you play Zetterburn? You mentioned the fact that whenever you are knocked offstage when fighting him, he always took your stock, and I know that Kragg is extremely good at edgeguarding Zetterburn.

I heavily recommend this, as well. When you play against someone that you've never used, it often seems like they just have no weaknesses and no counterplay. Then you play as them, and you learn that there's certain things that they either can't do or don't do well that you can take advantage of. I recommend everyone play the entire cast at least occasionally for this reason.

Kragg gives new players a hard time because they can't avoid everything and kragg has a ton of big moves that lead into other big moves (down special neutral air, dash to side tile, etc). Once you're at a skill level where you can avoid most crap before it starts and you can combo players efficiently and consistently, then he becomes just another character. Before that point he's a giant pain in the ass becaause he seems to cover all your bases without even moving.

Thanks for the tips, but I've kind of come to the conclusion that I simply suck at this game. I appreciate the support, though.
