Better Bots
I know that this is a small issue but the game could use better AI. I just played a local game recently and I'm able to take only 30% while I take the CPU's 3 stocks.
Why do I want better AI? because it would help the single player. The single player won't be fun if the game is boring due to easy AI. On top of that were all going to have to play it at some point to unlock characters!

But... Melee had bad AI, and Melee was perfect... why would you want to mess with perfection?

Melee perfect? what is up with all you guys putting this game on a pedastle? Yes Melee was a great game. One of the greatest games ever made in my opinion but perfect? absolutely not! Melee had a very unbalanced character roster. Characters like bowser very rarely make it to a prop level and watching online tournaments, Bowser never wins. I could keep going but there is now point. Melee wasn't perfect. It was just awesome. The bots in melee weren't the best but that's one of the things that makes the game unplayable unless you have friends over to play.

Besides that, Melee's bots presented more of a challenge than the Rivals' bots. Melee still is challenging to unlock everything (just had to do that last month). It has enough challenge that occaisionally makes me want to come back to it when I find the excuse. The multiman smash still challenging and fun.

At the moment, I can't imagine this game's single player being fun at all. I shouldn't be able to beat a level 9 without trying. If this game doesn't even have a fun single player then will this game have to rely on another person playing to make it good? Will this game truly be broken when the community dies?

Dude chill! Games still in alpha from what I understand. Im sure the bots will be more challenging by the time Single player is out. I would prefer him to work on Online play first, then single player. Why? Cuz then when the game becomes more popular and people post videos on youtube he can maybe study fight patterns and behaviors from others and try to incorporate that in the AI. Idk thats how id do it.
