What is the most broken recovery
I want to know what workshop character has the best recovery because I always make jokes saying springtrap frisk and among us are the broken recovery trio

Hard to say whose is the absolute best but I think Smol Nozomi has better recover than any of those ones. She can fly freely until her meter runs out, it recharges pretty quickly, & her side special makes a very long ice platform (if she travels far while using it) although they have cooldown. She even has an advantage on the ice platform because you get frozen if you're on it when she hits you with a strong.

She's significantly worse at recovering if she's just used both of her recovery moves but even then, her side special is still a long-ranged dash with great steerability & she has a falling diagonal down air to mix things up when she's trying to land.

Sandbert (and any barely changed clones of him)'s recovery move still remains to be one of the best. Insanely fast, last for a fair while, can fly freely in any direction, has a huge hitbox that covers his entire body and can cancel the special it to deal a devastating safe attack.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that one. Definitely better than any of the ones mentioned so far. I never keep a character who has that move even if their moveset is otherwise good (not that that's usually the case) because it's one of the most broken moves I've ever seen.

Ultra Instinct Fox who can basically fly anyway so yeah.

Cheapies aside... teleport recoveries may seem broken but then you remember that Orcane in Base Cast literally has it and the position is basically telegraphed so if you know the character has that you can punish it.

My Lilac mod does have a six way air dash that travels about a quarter of a screen's worth of distance AND a Spring move that launches her up very high and doesn't put her into pratfall. This used to be more broken with armour on the dash and the ability to boost out of a spring however I reworked both to not be quite nearly as broken and now her recovery is quite contestable, even to the point the dash distance is nerfed (you used to be able to fly from the very bottom of the screen all the way to the top... and in the original mod you can still do that)

Similar vein, Bar Sonic's Ring's launch distance is based entirely on speed going into it so he can bounce into the spring and then trick out of it to get an insane vertical speed boost.

EDIT: How can I forget Zephrie... they can literally fly!

my point goes to yuuko aioi for being able to get back from literally anywhere; torpedo flop travels far forward quickly and has a hitbox (even further every third use) and mogura aid also goes very far. it doesnt have a hitbox but she can use weather report to hit herself and hit herself out of pratfall, which also returns her wall jump. then there's nano shinonome, who doesnt exactly get far but her recovery is incredibly versatile. it can be used to recover, but also can be ledge cancelled to be used as a movement option. it's low landing lag also lets it be used for follow-ups.

Oh yeah. Noelle. Noelle has crazy recovery. On top of the normal options she can float upwards with DSpecial and that doesn't put you into pratfall so you can then fly back with UpSpecial too to cover some insane distance. Not to mention DSpec obstructs attackers trying to get back on stage.

I feel like Weegee's the only one with a variant that works in terms of balancing, limiting it so that you only can go upwards and greatly decreasing the duration.

You're probably right because I didn't even notice he had Sandbert's up special when testing him.

Galacta Knight USPECIAL has everything. Fast, far-reaching, has a hitbox, doesn't go into pratfall. only issue is being strictly vertical, but you can just go into side-special and air-stall for 6 whole seconds while you go on your merry way back to the stage.

Base roster? Elatus IMO, though it is very punishable. Orcane if you have great foresight. Might be Wrastor, too.
Workshop roster? Sandbag.

The newly released SD-V has a pretty great recovery. She has two double jumps and you combine it with her Air Dodge and then you can use Neutral Special and shoot downwards to gain height and then her USpec is another air dash. Combined with a wall jump I managed to get on top of the training stage with her recovery.

Teenah is another character with a pretty cracked recovery. Her Up Special does so much and goes an extremely long distance by itself.
